Blame Hurricane Michael.. your deep fried fantasies will have to wait.
The NC State Fair was originally scheduled to open Thursday afternoon, however due to the rain and wind threats from Hurricane Michael NC State Fair officials have made the decision to delay the opening to Friday, October 12th at 10am.
In a press conference, NC State Fair officials stated that opening day is typically their lowest attendance and holds shorter hours so they hope the impact will be minimal.
The NC State Fair has been known to close early for inclement weather to ensure the safety of Fair goers.
