The Carying Place teaches homeless, working families with children life skills for attaining independent living while providing short-term housing and support services to address their individual needs.
Join The Carying Place (TCP) for the Tenth Annual Labor Day “Race for Home”. It is a family-friendly, community event with 10K and 5K races (competitive and recreational) as well as family activities. Events include a family fun mile, raffle ticket purchase for prizes, center stage entertainment during the races and music for the entire family. Well-mannered dogs on leashes are welcome to cheer on the runners (races are for humans only). Community as well as pet/dog service vendors will also be included. Parents may participate in the race with kids in strollers but all kids must be registered (FREE but $10 donation requested) and numbered.
The race venue is Koka Booth Amphitheater, 8003 Regency Pkwy, Cary, NC 27518. Race registration fees are 10K – $40 per person and 5K – $30 per person with a $5 additional fee for anyone registering after August 29th. The family fun mile is no cost but requires online registration with a $10 donation requested.
