NC 2-1-1:
- All NC residents can dial 2-1-1 to reach a trained call specialist who can help them find shelters and learn evacuation routes, find help with storm clean-up, locate food, water and ice, learn about volunteer needs and more. The services is available 24/7 and is available in English and Spanish.
Small Business:
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has opened a Business Recovery Center (BRC) in Cumberland County to help businesses impacted by Hurricane Matthew that began on Oct. 4, 2016.
SBA representatives at the Center can provide information about disaster loans, answer questions and help businesses in completing the SBA application.

Additional information on the disaster loan program may be obtained by calling SBA’s Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 (800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing) or by sending an email to [email protected]. Loan applications can be downloaded from www.sba.gov. Applicants may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA’s secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela.
The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is Dec. 9, 2016. The deadline to return economic injury applications is July 10, 2017.
Virtual Food Drive
We’ve partnered with the Food Bank of NC to host a Virtual Food Drive to help our neighbors without food, water and basic supplies due to Hurricane Matthew.
For every dollar donated, the Food Bank can provide five meals. Please help the Food Bank serve those who have been seriously impacted by this storm.

Crossroads Ford: Donate clothes, shoes and non-perishable items to Crossroads Ford in Cary and Crossroads Ford in Wake Forest for delivery to those in need in Lumberton.
Engine Masters: Donate water and non-perishables at Engine Masters located at 116 E. Dabney Drive in Henderson and 12243 Capital Blvd in Wake Forest.
Leith Autopark: Bring canned goods, personal care items, cleaning supplies, bottle water and other non-perishable goods to Leith Automotive for victims of Hurricane Matthew
Salvation Army: Donate by calling 1-800-SAL-ARMY or text STORM to 51555 or donate online.
